Residencies, Gallery & Workshop Spaces
We incubate a range of projects, events and nature-based experiences that enrich health and wellbeing. Hand Bent Banana is a perfect venue to bend dynamic and transformative experiences that activate and expand the possibilities of culture and wellbeing in everyday life.
Opportunities exist for short and long term projects using the studios, gallery and workshop spaces. We welcome creative proposals in the fields of music composition/sound art, visual arts, sculpture, installation, new media, craft, creative writing, architecture and landscape/garden/ecological design.
Applications for 2023 are now being considered.

Gallery Specifications
The Gallery is an open space consisting of 64.1 square metres of space and white walls. Directly outside and undercover is the Dock Space suitable for workshops or exhibiting sculptural artworks. Gallery and Workshop Space Hire vary.
Studio Specifications
The Banana Shed hosts two large studios. Each provide safe accessibility and flexibility appropriate to the needs of the artists to develop their practice. The natural rural environment offers great amenities that greatly enhance the creative experience.

Outdoor Workshop Specifications
The old rural Leanto offers a covered outdoor workshop space directly connected to the natural environment. Close to parking, access to disability amenities, fresh spring water and power, its a great place to deliver nature-based activities.
