SANDRA TEMPLE &
BRONWEN SHANNON

“We are inspired by the ways natural elements shape both life and imagination. Water, as a vital force of transformation, mirrors the emotional and transitional qualities we seek to capture in our work.”

Calling their collaboration Artist Slingshot complementary artists, Sandra Temple and Bronwen Shannon  combine distinct yet harmonising practices, enabling a dynamic exchange of ideas, skills, and perspectives. Through Artist Slingshot, Sandra and Bronwen engage in a shared creative process that fosters innovation, professional growth, and the exploration of new artistic directions.

Ripples of Being is a modular sculpture that bridges the natural world and the human psyche. Crafted from resilient Pal Tiya, reclaimed river stone, and hand-forged steel, the work centres on a reflective mirror that invites self-recognition within the landscape. Stylised flora and fauna create an interconnected microcosm, while undulating forms mimic the ancient flow of water across the Australian terrain.
