As a place-based centre immersed in the natural wilderness of the Gold Coast Hinterland we are committed to fostering critically engaged creative practice.
Hand Bent Banana operates in the old, repurposed banana packing shed on Talweg. Light-filled creative worklabs, gallery, outdoor spaces and support for artists to research, develop and present new work connected to natural green views, fresh air and tranquility are offered.
Creative pursuits in the fields of music composition/sound art, the visual arts, sculpture, installation, new media, craft, creative writing, architecture and landscape/garden/ecological design are welcome.
