About the event
Open to all skill levels and creative backgrounds, this small-group lab will be run by creative collaborators Phil Darnton and Will Scheepers- the architectural trained artist team who created SAFE.
Immerse yourself in the practical world of outdoor sculpture making, as Phil and Will prepare foundations and recycled materials to situate SAFE in its permanent outdoor home at Hand Bent Banana.
Register for a day of experimenting with found and recycled materials, reflect on place and site specifics, question, and learn techniques such as charring and working with concrete.
Lunch provided Bring a water bottle.
The session will take place outdoors. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable to get dirty, covered shoes, hat and sun protection. Gardening gloves are also advised.
