🌿 WILD at HEART; 20 Ways to Connect with Nature 🌿

We’re delighted to celebrate one of our Artist-in-Residence alumni whose time at Hand Bent Banana Art Nature and Health Centre in the leafy surrounds of Tallebudgera Valley has blossomed into something truly special.

During her VALLEY STAY Lisa Behan spent her days walking the many pathways of Talweg, quietly observing, listening, and gathering elements such as bark, leaves, seeds, feathers. She immersed herself in the gentle rhythms of the natural world. Through these slow, sensory encounters, she began to note the restorative power of connecting deeply with nature.

From Lisa's experience during her Valley Stay, the idea for Wild at Heart – 20 Ways to Connect with Nature was born. A beautifully illustrated card deck designed to inspire reflection, creativity, and playfulness in the outdoors.

In early 2025, she invited her friend and artist Maureen Hansen, who has also experienced a Valley Stay at Hand Bent Banana, to bring the concept to life through her exquisite illustrations. The collaboration has resulted in a heartfelt and tangible way for others to experience the joy and calm of nature connection.

💚 We’re thrilled to share the result: WILD at HEART Nature Card Decks!Perfect for anyone seeking to slow down, reconnect, and cultivate mindful moments in nature.
